Right now, most people looking for Vedic knowledge find whatever is easiest to reach: a fragment here, a paraphrase there, secondhand summaries that drift a little further from the source with every retelling. None of that is anyone's fault. It's simply what happens when a tradition this old has no single, verified place to stand.
Sponsoring this work is a chance to help fix that, permanently. Not by discrediting what already exists, but by building something more complete: a corpus checked against the original texts, published as books, built into apps, and eventually a language model, with your name attached to the specific piece you made possible. A thousand years from now, someone may open a volume you sponsored to learn their own family's tradition properly for the first time. That is the scale of what you're being asked to be part of.
This is the corpus itself: a 72-volume series covering the Vedas, Vedāṅgas, Upavedas, Itihāsas, Purāṇas, and the wider civilisational record, compiled and verified by our partner institution. These are the same sponsorship tiers and the same $1,008 per-volume price offered directly through the Institution, so what you see here matches what you'd find sponsoring a volume yourself. Browse the full 72-volume catalog to see what's available.
Underwrites one volume's production, print and permanent online edition. Choose which volume during checkout, or leave it to us if you'd rather not pick.
Sponsor a complete thematic division, all of the Ṛgveda-related volumes, the full Itihāsa division (Rāmāyaṇa and Mahābhārata), or any of the other ten divisions, at a combined or negotiated rate.
A full reference collection of the series for a library, temple, school, or cultural center, with an ongoing relationship as new volumes are published.
Not sure which volume or division to choose? A gift here goes toward whichever volumes need it most, at our team's discretion.
Give whatever feels right. Minimum $25.
Vashishta Gurukul's commitment to this partnership goes beyond the printed series: we're also sponsoring the reference apps and the foundational model built from the same verified corpus. These two tiers are ours, not priced by the Institution, since they're part of Vashishta Gurukul's own roadmap alongside the volumes.
Funds development of a reference or study app built on the verified corpus, used daily by priests, students, and researchers.
Suggested $5,000. Any amount of $250 or more is welcome.
Funds the foundational work behind the Sarvaveda language model itself: the slowest, highest-stakes piece of this partnership, and likely the most consequential.
Suggested $10,000. Any amount of $250 or more is welcome.
Separate from the corpus itself, this tier funds Vashishta Gurukul's own physical home in Celina, Texas, the classrooms, the library, and the people who run the school day to day.
Funds the physical home for all of this: air-conditioned classroom space, a library to house the corpus itself, and support staff who keep the Gurukul running day to day.
Give whatever feels right. Minimum $25.
If your own family follows Rig Veda, sponsoring one of its volumes, the Ṛgveda text itself, its Kalpa Sūtra, or its applied Solutions volume, is a direct act of continuity. The same is true for Yajur, Sama, or Atharva. If your family tradition is one of the less commonly taught streams, Sama or Atharva especially, your sponsorship carries even more weight: fewer people are actively working to keep that specific stream alive, which makes your contribution rarer and more consequential, not smaller.
The same goes for the Itihāsas and Purāṇas: Rāmāyaṇa is a single volume on its own, and so is Mahābhārata. Perhaps one of those is personal to you, or a specific Purāṇa your family has always turned to. And if you come to this from outside religious practice altogether, a physician drawn to the real Āyurveda behind the wellness trend, for instance, can sponsor the Āyurveda volume directly and fund the authentic source material in the field they already respect professionally.
Every checkout on this page lets you choose the specific volume or area you want your contribution tied to.
Some sponsors want their name in the volume their family will hand down for generations. Others prefer their support stay private. Both are honored equally here. Tell us your preference at checkout, and we'll follow it exactly, in the colophon, on the app, or wherever the credit appears.
A note on structure: Vashishta Gurukul currently operates as Vashishta LLC, and sponsorships made through this site are not currently tax-deductible. We're working with our partner institution to offer a tax-deductible giving option through their US 501(c)(3) affiliate as our formal partnership comes together, and we'll update this page the moment that's ready. If a tax deduction matters for your gift, let us know on the inquiry form below and we'll follow up directly with your options. Please check with your own tax advisor about how any contribution affects your own filing.
Not every gift needs to fund an entire volume. Smaller contributions add up toward the same goal and keep classes accessible for families who can't yet pay full tuition.
Tell us what you'd like to sponsor. We'll follow up with payment options and next steps.
We welcome volunteers with knowledge of Sanskrit, Vedic music, Indian classical arts, or simply a willingness to help with campus days, festivals, and operations. Vedic priests interested in volunteering to teach should visit our page for priests directly. Everyone else, use the form above and select "Not sure yet," and mention volunteering in your message.
